X-MEN: DOFP's Director Bryan Singer Unveiled New Character Details
Director Bryan Singer has revealed some new details about "X-Men: Days of Future Past" at The Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal last night. Singer showed the comic con 2013 footage from and spoke about the film, as well as a great many other things -- including his thoughts on Man Of Steel, an argument with an editor on X-Men and Russell Crowe's stipulation for playing Wolverine.
Director first confirmed that "Scarlet Witch" will not appear in Days of Future Past, William Stryker will be in Days of Future Past. Josh Helman is playing him. He also said that "Not the brightest X-Men movie, but it has a good message, trying to right wrongs. Most of the movie takes place in 1973. Future segments are 10 years after X-Men: The Last Stand."
The most interesting thing about Singer's discussion was on Cyclops demise in X-Men: The Last Stand: Wishes he could bring him back. Wasn't happy with that choice. Could justify bringing Xavier back because he transferred his consciousness and could possibly construct a body around that consciousness. Was however, happy about some things- like the casting of Ellen Page.
The film releases in theaters on May 23, 2014, X-Men: Days of Future Past stars Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Omar Sy, Halle Berry, Daniel Cudmore, Fan Bingbing, Boo Boo Stewart, Adan Canto, Evan Peters, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Peter Dinklage, Josh Helman and Lucas Till.
