Christopher McQuarrie Will Direct Mission Impossible 5; Says "Mission Accepted"

Earlier this year it was officially confirmed that Tom Cruise had agreed with Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions to feature in the upcoming Mission Impossible 5. Jack Reacher writer and director Christopher McQuarrie were said to be in talks to direct the movie. The official announcement yet to be made but the following Tweet from Christopher McQuarrie seems to confirm that he has accepted the mission and will indeed helm the film starring Tom Cruise in another instalment of the popular franchise.

After a worldwide gross of $694.7 million for the fourth instalment of "Mission Impossible" - Ghost Protocol. McQuarrie, who is likely to both write and direct the new film, also previously supplied the screenplay to Bryan Singer's Valkyrie, in which Cruise starred. He's also among the screenwriters on the upcoming Cruise sci-fi thriller Edge of Tomorrow.
