Iron Man 3 animated storyboards, created by Federico D'Alessandro, has uploaded animatics clips that illustrate key sequences from Iron Man 3 climactic finale. One animatic, reveals that the original plan was to have Ben Kingsley's Trevor Slattery meet his maker. Hit the jump to check it out.
The below scenes with Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), Rhodey (Don Cheadle), and Trevor Slattery (Ben Kingsley). That animatic with Trevor is the most tantalizing. As you remember, Tony figures out that the Mandarin is in Miami and he confronts this supposedly nasty villain. But, there's a twist! The man who has appeared on television as the Mandarin is actually a British actor with a substance abuse problem, named Trevor Slattery. Trevor, was hired by Aldrich (Guy Pearce) to pose as the terrorist mastermind, the Mandarin.
The last time we see Trevor, he seems to be enjoying his fame, basking in the attention as he is hauled off to jail through a an angry crowd of onlookers. But, originally the plan was to have Trevor show up at the impounded oil drilling platform. The location used throughout the climactic battle.
