Spike Lee's Oldboy Poster Debuts Online - "Ask Why You Were Set Free"


Academy award winner Spike Lee's Oldboy, starring Josh Brolin, Elizabeth Olsen, Sharlto Copley, Michael Imperioli, Samuel L. Jackson, Rami Malek, Lance Reddick, Max Casella, and James Ransom. It is a remake of the 2003 classic South Korean film Oldboy, which is based on the Japanese comics with the same name.

Josh Brolin (No Country For Old Men and Men in Black 3) takes center stage in the first official poster, putting Brolin inside some kind of big box in the middle of a grassy land. The other odd addition is the girl in the background with the years marked on her umbrella. I wonder who she is? You'll want to see this poster.

Official Synopsis:


"OLDBOY follows the story of an advertising executive (Josh Brolin) who is kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement without any indication of his captor’s motive. When he is inexplicably released, he embarks on an obsessive mission to discover who orchestrated his bizarre and torturous punishment only to find he is still trapped in a web of conspiracy and torment. His quest for revenge leads him into an ill-fated relationship with a young social worker (Elizabeth Olsen) and ultimately to an elusive man (Sharlto Copley) who allegedly holds the key to his salvation."
