Film District and Lionsgate Films has debuted first official teaser trailer for director Paul W.S. Anderson's ("Resident Evil" movies, "The Three Musketeers" and "Death Race") "Pompeii" which follows an enslaved Celtic gladiator who falls in love with a noblewoman on the eve of a massive volcanic eruption that destroys Pompeii, an event that also brings him face-to-face with the man who slaughtered his family years earlier. 

The films stars Kit Harington, Emily Browning, Jared Harris, Kiefer Sutherland, Carrie-Anne Moss, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Jessica Lucas. So if you're curious, you can watch this on February 21, 2014. With 3D glasses on, of course.

Vladar Company and The American Media has debuted the first official poster for Documentary (1977's Pumping Iron type) film "Generation Iron," directed by Vlad Yudin. Mickey Rourke narrates the film, with appearances by Arnold Schwarzenegger, Lou Ferrigno and Jay Cutler. 

Generation Iron follows the world’s leading bodybuilders as they train and compete for the coveted Mr. Olympia title. The film gives front row access to the lives of the top 7 bodybuilders in the sport, including Phil Heath, Kai Greene, Branch Warren and Dennis Wolf.

According to Variety, French actress Marion Cotillard has been confirmed for the leading role in Justin Kurzel‘s Snowtown follow-up "Macbeth." She replaces Natalie Portman who was announced for the part at Cannes. Portman is out for undisclosed reasons, but a worthy replacement has stepped in.

Cotillard (who won an Oscar for her stunning performance in Edith-Piaf biopic "La Vie en Rose") will play opposite Michael Fassbender ("X-Men: First Class"). She's coming off of her James Gray double hitter at Cannes with "The Immigrant" and "Blood Ties". 

The classic story of a Scottish lord who comes to power and will take a "visceral" style with key battle scenes. It will not be a modern update, however, as this take is set in the original language and in the 11th century. The romance-filled epic is produced by Iain Canning and Emile Sherman at See-Saw Films. The pair’s production credits include Oscar-winning "The King’s Speech" and "Shame."

Cotillard is currently shooting Luc and Jean-Pierre Dardenne’s drama "Two Days, One Night." She will likely follow  up "Macbeth" with another auteur-driven period drama, Benoit Jacquot’s Diary of a Chambermaid” (Le Journal d’une femme de chambre), based on Octave Mirbeau’s classic novel.

20th Century Fox has revealed the first trailer and a new set of images from director Brian Percival's The Book Thief, starring Sophie Nélisse as Liesel Meminger, Geoffrey Rush as Hans Hubermann and Emily Watson as Rosa Hubermann.

Check it out first official teaser poster for Terry Gilliam’s not-so-Sci-fi film "The Zero Theorem" are now available online featuring an unknown "Wired-Up" guy. Also starring Matt Damon, Tilda Swinton, Ben Whishaw, Peter Stormare and David Thewlis, The Zero Theorem is slated for a 2014 release date.

"The story, the first by American college professor Pat Rushin, was partly inspired by Gilliam's own work, so the parallels with Brazil are not accidental. He also mentions that Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Jamie "The Kingslayer" Lannister from Game of Thrones, was considered for the role of Savin. So, much of the artwork for Savin bears Nikolaj's likeness, not James Badge Dale's.
