The Top Ten R-Rated Weirdly Hilarious Movies

R Rated movies usually contains explicit contents (Blood, Cursing And Some Sexual Content)  which are Restricted under 17 ages. You have to be 17 years old to watch an R movie in theaters unless you have a parent/guardian with you. These movies are very very funny and refreshing. Lets look the top ten R -rated comedy movies of all time that I have seen.

10. The 40 Year Old Virgin (2005)

***Cute, Charming, Nasty And Very Amusing***

"The Longer You Wait, The Harder It Gets."

"I think my first time might be your best time, too. Well, I knew it."

"The 40 Year-Old Virgin" was directed by Judd Apatow and co-written by himself and Carell, which originated as a skit that starred Carell. Carell is sweet and human, as his character is not some layabout who approaches this thing with his eyes shut. This is probably one of the most intelligent romps I've ever seen and is not offensive (a whole lot) because its characters are treated with dignity and respect. Even Carell's buddies, who pass off bad advice to cover up their own relationship insecurities, can be related to on a fundamental level.

The way "The 40 Year-Old Virgin" plays out is indeed funny in the end, but I'll leave that up to you, the viewer, to observe. Surely, if anyone can go through the things Andy does and still have the strength to attract a woman as sexy as Catherine Keener, then it's true: It is never too late!

9. Old School (2003)

***Not Perfect But A Solid Comedy***

"Why do men act like boys? Because they can."

"Fill it up again! Fill it up again! Once it hits your lips, it's so good!"

Old School is a comedy that stars stars Luke Wilson, Vince Vaughn, and Will Ferrell as three thirty-somethings who seek to re-live their college days by starting a fraternity, and the tribulations they encounter in doing so in order to avoid the problems of the present. The story was written by Court Crandall and directed by Todd Phillips.

Old School is an definitely an over-the-top comedy that is not totally hilarious although it had some funny moments. The theme about escapism was somewhat not really that impressed me about the movie since the premise about the trio of buds who yearn to go back to the past in order to avoid the present only brings them to more problems. Aside from that, most of the humor involved is that's somewhere below the belt. And most of all,it became an exercise of laughs, whether funny or not, in the course of the film.

8. 21 Jump Street (2012)

***A Surprisingly Competent Comedy Flick Of 2012***

"Eric Molson: You know what they do to handsome guy like me in prison. It Rhymes with GRAPE. It Rhymes with grape."

"21 Jump Street", really has no right to be any good. It's a wacky buddy cop movie based off a 80's American TV show that helped propel Johnny Depp into world-wide recognition. This really should have been crashed and burned like all the other "tongue in cheek" takes on a really old formula. But somehow they make it work, mostly through a pretty funny screenplay by Michael Bacall and through quite solid performances by the two leads, Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum. The chemistry between these two actors is so well translated to screen. It almost like from Lethal Weapon. Ice Cube as the police captain of the undercover division steals every scene he is in. He has some of the best lines in the film. Just wonderful.

The film written by Michael Baccall, the co-writer of the amazing Scott Pilgrim vs The World. The film makes fun and pays tribute to all those cliches of buddy cop movies and a lot of action films. One of the funniest scenes making fun of action films is the wonderfully shot chase scene on the highway. The running gag with explosions is award worthy. The screenwriter really knows all the cliches and when to make fun of them or make a good use of them in the story.

7. Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle (2001)

***Unbelievably Funny And Sheer Delight***

" Fast Food. High Times."

"This is gonna be exactly like eurotrip, except it's not gonna suck."

The movie is absolutely hilarious. It's light years beyond Dude Where's My Car?, or for that matter any stoner/dumbass flick I've seen in years. This will be a cult comedy classic, one you watch ten times till you know all the words.

How many times do you get to see someone so excited over a giant bag of marijuana that he dances slow-motion in circles with it, then marries it, then bitch-slaps it because it served him bad coffee, then sobs and hugs it, crying, "I love you honey!"? (This is a dream sequence, and uh it's funnier that it sounds.)

6. American Pie 2 (2001)

***Twice As Better Than The First***

"Get Ready For Another Slice of Pie!"

"You may be Jimbo, or Jumbo, or Jimbodini to those guys in there, but there are still two people who haven't forgotten where James Emmanuel Levenstein came from. We're awful proud of you son."

" If a guy tells you how many girls he's hooked up with, it's not even close to that. You take that number and divide it by three, then you get the real total. OK, so if Kevin is saying it's been three girls it's more like one or none."

I loved American Pie 2.It will remain one of the most funny comedies ever made. There are more saucy scenes in it than the first one.The first one was funny but this one had even more funny scenes and quotes. Stiffler also did a great funny performance from his first scene he made me laugh and same with his last scene.Every scene he had was brilliant.Jim was also funny as well with the super glue scene.Eugene's performance went down beat and wasn't funny as he was in the first one.

The best scene in the entire film was the lesbian scene.Hilarious, outstanding and funny to look at. It's Overall the funniest American Pie in the series.

5. Knocked Up (2007)

***Vulgar, Funny But Certainly Not Stupid***

"A one night stand that turned into something more."

"Save the due date"

"I don't know, maybe you're pregnant with emotion" - Ben Stone

Knocked Up won me over by it's sheer brilliance. The screenplay is really funny. The dialogue is hilarious, and the characters believable and three-dimensional. Seth Rogen and Katherine Heigl are fantastic. They play their characters with comedic timing, and with flawed, but ultimately likable tone. Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann are also brilliant, their characters you totally invest with and play a real-life issue in their marriage. The rest of the cast, from Jonah Hill to Jason Segal to the rest, are also brilliant and hilarious. It has crude humor, and the film really made me laugh out loud to plain smile at it's brilliance. Ultimately, what I think grabbed me more was it's heart. This is not one of those R-rated comedies where it is just about the humor. It is perfect film-making, and Judd Apatow's finest film of course. An instant comedy classic for sure.

4. There's Something About Mary (1998)

***A True Romantic Comedy Of The 90's***

"No animals were harmed in the making of this movie. Everybody else was on their own."

"Love is in the hair."

"I couldn't believe that she knew my name. Some of my best friends didn't know my name. " -Ted

"There's Something About Mary" is one of the best movies that the Farrelly Brothers made. Probably the best of Cameron Diaz and Ben Stiller. Gross out gags make this movie hilarious. I especially loved "Is that hair gel?" and "Frank and Beans!!" Those were hilarious. the rest of the cast makes this movie shine golden. The plot follows a man who is in love with a high school sweetheart, who tries to find her while getting foiled by numerous hilarious plans. Special condolences are to Matt Dillon. he did really good as the slime ball detective.

Overall the movie is hilarious and every joke works perfectly.

3. Wedding Crashers (2005)

***Hilarious, Witty And An Absolute Feast***

"They're just a couple of guys who just wanna have fun."

"Life's a Party. Crash It."

"So how's my protégé?"
"Jeremy, believe it or not, is getting married!"
"What? What an idiot! What a loser! Good! Good! More for you and me."

"Wedding Crashers" probably one of the best wedding movies you will ever have the pleasure of watching, it is just wonderful. Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn star as John and Jeremy, two lawyers who crash weddings for a living. And this is most likely the best Frat Pack film to date, or at least up there with "Old School."

It's comedic and romantic, entertaining glory that brings us "Wedding Crashers" from "Shanghai Knights" director David Dobkin. I first saw this film over two years ago, and from the first time until now, it has become an instant classic comedy movie for me. The best part of the film though has got to be when we see Will Ferrell for the first time, it is just hilarious.

So far, no other film has surpassed "Wedding Crashers" in popularity within the Frat Pack line of movies. As much as we all seem to like the movie, I was only able to give this one a 10. Excellent!!

2. The Hangover I & II (2009 & 2011)

***One Of The Funniest Movies I Have Seen***

"Some guys just can't handle Vegas"

"What happened last night?"

"Are you certified to be taking care of a baby?" "oh **** I just smashed his head on the door!" "are my sunglasses OK?"

"The Hangover" franchise movies are hands down the raunchiest and one of the funniest movies i have ever seen. From the beginning of the movie right up to the end it is consistently funny, there really are not any slow parts to this movie because they are on a constant journey and race against time. And just when you thought the movie couldn't get any funnier the last 30 seconds of the movie slaps you across the face. I literally was laughing so hard I cried.

The crazy one, Alan (Zach Galifianakis), The one that is going to tell you that you are making the biggest mistake of your life, Phil (Bradley Cooper), and the one who isn't allowed to do anything because he is whipped, (Ed Helms). What is so great about this film is it takes a normal thing (a bachelor party) and gives it a twist (A "Hangover"). I recommend this if you are above 15.

1. Ted (2012)

***Wild, Outrageously Hilarious And Do Yourself A Favor***

"Narrator: No matter how big a splash you make in this world whether you're Corey Feldman, Frankie Muniz, Justin Bieber or a talking teddy bear, eventually, nobody gives a shit."

"John: I don't know that you wanna go to a drug dealer with complaints.

Ted: No. I know this guy a long time. I've known him since 9-11. You remember? I was, like, "Oh, shit, 9-11, I gotta get high."

"Ted", revolves around a John and his talking teddy bear named Ted (McFarlene). John was a lonely kid and wished that his teddy bear was real, and so overnight he became just that. But years go by, and now John and Ted are grown up, sitting around their apartment, getting baked, watching Flash Gordon, and making John's pretty girlfriend Lori(Mila Kunis) a little mad. So, she gives John an ultimatum, and the movie goes on from there. But I can't give too much away.

Seth MacFarlane voices Ted perfectly, Mila Kunis as Lori is magnificent and Mark Whalberg as John was perfect also. I do watch Family Guy and if you are thinking about watching 'Ted' then remember it is the writer of Family Guy who has written this therefore that kind of humor will be implemented into this film. I really do recommend this movie. You will forget all your problems and fall in love with Ted.

Ted is a delight and extremely funny, do yourself a favor!

Jim Carrey's Ten Greatest Performances Of All Time

Jim Carrey, one of the most funniest actor alive on this planet at the moment. There are no words to illustrate his sense of humor, comic timings and comic expressions. As an actor he so talented and amazing to watch onscreen. He is well-known for his comedy movies but he did his best work in "Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind" which was not his usual comic role by any means yet he pulled it off so spectacularly. Lets  throw light on Jim Carrey's top ten movies so far..

1. Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind (2004)

*** A Warm Hearted And Feel Good Kinda Movie For All***

"You can erase someone from your mind. Getting them out of your heart is another story."

"Our memories makes us who we are. You can't change the past."

While watching this movie i was amazed by Jim Carrey role as i said before it was not his usual kind of comic role yet he performed it superbly. Here's the basic plot. "Eternal Sunshine" centers around the life of Joel (Jim Carrey) a shy, mild mannered man who is heart broken after splitting from his feisty, impulsive girlfriend, Clementine (Kate Winslet). A short while after their split, he meets her again while she is working at a library and he is stunned to discover that she doesn't recognize him. He later finds out that the reason for this is that Clementine has had her memory of Joel wiped out completely. Dr Howard Mierwick (Tom Wilkinson) has performed an operation on her brain after Clementine visited his clinic to forget Joel. Much to Joel's distress, he decides to do the same, but during his operation he revisits memories of Clementine that he struggles to let go of. This is a lovely movie and if you like originality with a sense of fantasy with a love story, then I suggest you see it. It's one of those films you'll want to see twice. Don't You Miss..

2. The Truman Show (1998)

***A True Jim Carrey's Show All The Way***

"On The Air. Unaware."

"The World is Watching"

"The Story Of A Lifetime"

Fascinating! Lovely! Unbelievable! The Truman Show, Truman Burbank is an ordinary guy in an ordinary little seaside town of Seahaven Island where nothing really happens. Everything is clean, everything is perfect, he knows people but never really connects to anyone. The one woman he ever really loved is not his wife and has long since left for the other side of the world where he longs to visit but feels he can never go. Paralyzed by his fear of water since seeing his father die on a boating accident, Truman still feels he is missing something. A strange light falling from the sky, a man who reminds him of his dead father, a strange radio broadcast and the feeling that the world really stops when he shuts his eyes all combine to make him feel something is wrong – but what is it that he seeks but feels he cannot find?. You will love every bit of thing this movie offers to you..Jim Carrey At His Best..

3. Man On The Moon (1999)

***A Great Comedian And A Great Movie***

"Hello, my name is Andy and this is my movie."

"This is the story about a man who lived and died without being understood"

Man on the Moon's one element of sheer brilliance lies in the telling performance of Jim Carrey in the lead role. In physical appearance to comic styling's, he, quite literally, becomes Andy Kaufman! Whether on stage or behind-the-scenes, Carrey never hits a false note, displaying his ability to bring out the humanity that might easily have been lost in a portrayal of a very eccentric comic artist. Indeed, Carrey lends some much needed depth to a screenplay that, in its bare-bone plotting, often seems undernourished and underfed. `Man on the Moon' becomes, ultimately then, more compelling as a steppingstone in Carrey's development as an artist than as an elegy for the artist who once was.
Jim Carrey shows us once again how comedians can be such good dramatic actors. Carrey is outstanding in this role, and perfect for it. The rest of the cast is good, too, from Danny DeVito to Paul Giamatti to Courtney Love.

4. Bruce Almighty (2003)

*** A Fantastic Comedy-Family Movie For All Ages***

"In Bruce We Trust?"

"If you could be God for one week, what would you do?"

He is wild, He is furious, He is hilarious and He is Jim Carrey. Jim Carry plays Bruce Nolan, a TV reporter usually stuck on the lighter side of the news, desperate to prove himself (more or less TO himself) that he can be taken seriously and do a good job in an anchor job. This drive is what is slowly driving his beautiful girlfriend Grace (Jennifer Aniston) away. When the final straws are executed, he's quick to not laugh, but yell in the face of God, who in turn gives Bruce his powers. Bruce then makes his life better for himself, until he's guilt into helping others, where he then continues to miss the point of his powers. Meanwhile, his constant excitement about his own life makes him more selfish, leaving his relationship on dangerous ground. I really laughed for so long and hard, My stomach hurts now..

5. Me, Myself & Irene (2000)

***Multiple Personality And Surprisingly Hilarious***

"From Gentle To Mental"

We all know how hard it is to handle single Jim Carrey itself onscreen but just imagine Multiple Personality transformation. Jim Carey is Officer Charlie of the Rhode Island police. He's a lovely guy who never really deals with nasty truths like how his wife had an affair (his kids are black), or why she left him. This leads an evil split personality to develop called Hank and hilarity, of course, ensues as the two personalities switch to comedic effect. I honestly think it's one of the funniest movies I've ever seen and it always seems to be the first film I think of when someone asks me to recommend a good comedy. Watch it it's worth the time.

6. Liar Liar (1997)

***An Unrealistic Story Yet So Entertaining***

"Trust Me"

"Would I lie to you?"

Trust me! Liar Liar is about a boy who, after being stood up by his big-shot lawyer father one too many times, wishes that for just one day his dad couldn't lie. This wreaks havoc on his personal life and even more on his professional life as a lawyer who makes a living putting criminals back on the streets. See this obviously for Jim Carrey, one of the great comedic talents of our time, an original who would have delighted Charlie Chaplin with his extraordinary muggings, his blatant audacity and his suburb timing.

7. Dumb & Dumber (1994)

***The Funniest Movie You Will Ever See***

"What the one doesn't have, the other is missing."

"If they each had half a brain, together they would still only have half a brain."

Dumb and Dumber is the funniest movie ever for the following reasons: two pals lose their jobs, but Lloyd (Jim Carrey) finds a briefcase that belongs to a wealthy woman (Lauren Holly) that lives in Aspen,Colorado and he and his best friend Harry (Jeff Daniels)must travel cross-country to return it to her. Along the way they encounter kidnappers, a state trooper, and many more hilarious moments from this comedy that you must see for yourself.

8. The Cable Guy (1996)

***Jim's Yet Another Outstanding Performance***

"Once you let him into your house, you'll never get him out of your life!"

"There's No Such Thing as Free Cable"

The Cable Guy, played by Jim Carrey is a lonely character who has been looking for friendship. Except he doesn't know how to really keep a friend the right way. We learn this as we see Steven (Matthew Broderick) get sucked into a heap of trouble that takes an awful long time for him to clear his name. At first, The Cable Guy seems like a guy who's only trying to help. But he soon turns into a bad apple. Jim Carrey can be funny as a bad apple but it has to be done the right way. This is not one of them. By the end of the movie I still felt conflict because I couldn't decide whether The Cable Guy was likable or not. I still can't now. I recommend it.

9. The Number 23 (2007)

***Freaky And Surprisingly Cool Movie***

"First it takes hold of your mind...then it takes hold of your life."

"A number is just a number. Or is it?"

The story of the movie is about a happy married man Walter Sparrow (Jim Carrey) and his wife Agatha (Virginia Madsen) and son Robin (Logan Lerman). One day as a gift his wife presents him with a novel The Number 23. On reading it Walter realizes the similarities the novel has with his life. The novel turns out to be a thriller with a murder mystery. Walter gets engaged into the paranoia of number 23 and tries to find a running parallel in real life to identify the characters and solve the murder mystery. Like a detective Walter traces the murderer and unknown writer of the novel. One clue leads to another, and another – until the end, the real murderer is exposed. I won't tell you the secret. Just a clue that the novel is written by someone named Topsy Eret.

10. Yes Man (2008)

***Just Say Yes!!***

"One word can change everything."

"The era of yes has begun."

"Yes Man" is another perfect comic entertainer with lots of funny moments. This movie runs through its rom-com paces, but each new scene, while a bit predictable, was nonetheless a pleasure. I felt uplifted by the end, and am very glad I went, even in the blizzard occurring where I am now staying. It was worth it!
