Top 10 Most Acclaimed Anime/Cartoon Movies

The Anime/Cartoon always been a special experience and brings back old memories. These movies are refreshing, innovative and enduring. Here are the some of the greatest full-length Anime/Cartoon movies of all time.

10. Tarzan (1999)

10. Tarzan (1999)

***Visually Stunning And One Of Disney's Best Work***

"An immortal legend. As you've only imagined."

"Professor Porter: Oh, Janie Jane! What an amazing discovery! A man with no language, no human behavior...

Jane Porter: And no respect for personal boundaries.

Professor Porter: How do you mean?

Jane Porter: He was this close to me, daddy, just staring at me.

Jane Porter: He was confused at first, as if he had never seen another human before. His eyes were intense... and focused, and... I've never seen eyes like those before.

Professor Porter: Oh. Shall I - ahem - leave you and the blackboard alone for a moment?

Jane Porter: Oh, daddy, stop it. "

"Tarzan'' delves right into the core of the story from the very start, beginning with the shipwreck that causes mother, father and son to be castaways on an island inhabited by wild animals. The montage of scenes are brilliant as they show, side by side, compared between the humans and the animal families. After this spectacular start, the timeworn story gets brilliant treatment from the Disney animators. The boy grows into the fearless hunk and his meeting with Jane in the jungle has to be one of the cleverest bits of animation ever. Jane is voiced by Minnie Driver in what is undoubtedly the top vocal job in the film.

It's top-notch Disney with the jungle settings looking more real than ever thanks to their new "deep canvas" technique for background paintings. By all means, see it and enjoy.

9. The Illusionist (2010)

9. The Illusionist (2010)

***Simple, Delicate And Beautiful***

"The Illusionist" Tatischeff, a travelling French illusionist in the '50s, plies his trade all over Europe, going, always with his irascible rabbit, wherever people will hire him to perform his magic tricks. Business isn't doing very well, though, because of new competing forms of entertainment – in one hilarious sequence Chomet shows the illusionist having to wait on the backstage for a Beatles-inspired rock band to finish their act before he can get on stage. There's a feeling of an era fading away in this movie; a running theme is the demise of the old vaudeville performers: magicians, clowns, puppeteers, acrobats, etc., living in cheap hotels, unemployed, prone to suicide and alcoholism. Tatischeff belongs to a breed that wanes mentally and emotionally before dying physically.

This is a beautiful film insofar as each and every scene is a work of art. A visual treat for the eye, one to be brought out and savored from time to time. The road is long and can be at times beautiful and many times not. The Illusionist is one of the most beautiful stories to emerge in modern animation for a very long time.

8. Simpsons Movie (2007)

8. Simpsons Movie (2007)

***A Great TV Show And A Good Movie***

"See our family. And feel better about yours."

"Homer Simpson: All right, boy. Time for the ultimate dare. I dare you to skateboard to Krusty Burger… and back… "naked".

Bart Simpson: How naked?

Homer Simpson: Fourth base.

Bart Simpson: But girls might see my doodle.

Homer Simpson: Oh, I see. Then I hereby declare you chicken for life! Every morning, you’ll wake up to, Good Morning, Chicken! At your wedding, I’ll singBuck-buck-bu-buck!"

"The Simpson Movie" storyline is quite different from a Simpsons theme- Homer miraculously pollutes the local river, thus the power plant is closed down and the residents of Springfield are evacuated. Cue the Simpsons who must fight to save their town or lose it forever!!!

There really is little to criticize about this movie. A lot of people are rattling on about the movie being too similar to a single stretched-out episode, but this was always going to be an issue from the beginning. I suppose if you go into the movie expecting an overly long episode then that's what you'll get, but if you take it with a pinch of salt then the Simpsons Movie is great fun, and very funny.

7. Aladdin (1992)

7. Aladdin (1992)

***Disney At It's Very Best And Simply Superb***

"Aladdin: Wish fulfillment?

Genie: Three wishes, to be exact. And ixnay on the wishing for more wishes. That's all. Three. Uno, dos, tres. No substitutions, exchanges or refunds. "

Aladdin the street urchin (voiced by Scott Weinger) finds a magical lamp that unleashes the power of the blue Genie (voiced by Robin Williams) who grants him three wishes. Unfortunately the evil Jafar plans on using the genie to his own will and wreaks havoc on Aladdin's newly-found life (he wishes to become a sultan in the hopes of earning the love of his life, Princess Jasmine).

This is simply a wonderful story with bold animation and a truly terrific vocal performance by Robin Williams. It's the movie's adult humor such as the Ah-nuld and Woody Allen impersonations done by Williams that make it equally enjoyable for all ages. When this was released in 1992 I was fascinated and used to watch it all the time; now, as an adult, I still enjoy the film for many different reasons, while still managing to appreciate the utter joy of the story.  I think no matter how old you are, or no matter what you do, that there is always room for a good Disney movie.

6. Beauty And The Beast (1991)

6. Beauty And The Beast (1991)

***A Beautiful, Flawless, Lovely And Magical Piece Of Art***

"The most beautiful love story ever told."

"Gaston: This is the day your dreams come true.

Belle: What do you know about my dreams, Gaston?

Gaston: Plenty! Here, picture this: A rustic hunting lodge, my latest kill roasting on the fire, and my little wife massaging my feet, while the little ones play on the floor with the dogs. We'll have six or seven.

Belle: Dogs?

Gaston: No, Belle! Strapping boys, like me!

Belle: Imagine that.

Gaston: And do you know who that little wife will be?

Belle: Let me think...

Gaston: You, Belle!

Belle: Gaston, I'm-I'm speechless. I really don't know what to say.

Gaston: Say you'll marry me!

Belle: I'm very sorry, Gaston... but... but I just don't deserve you! "

"Beauty And The Beast" is Disney at its peak. From the stained glass window at the opening and the beautiful narration, the viewer is drawn into the story by the appealing music and clever lyrics ("Belle's Song") which gets the picture off to a bouncy start. The opening sequence showing Belle and the townspeople in song is masterfully handled and choreographed for maximum effect, setting the tone for the entire story.

"Once upon a time, a prince lived in a shining castle; and although he had everything his heart desired, he was spoiled and selfish...." Thus begins one of Disney's most wonderful animated classics. The prince is transformed into a hideous beast, matching his outward appearance with his heart. He is given an enchanted rose which will bloom until his 21st birthday. By the time the last petal falls, he must learn to love someone and earn her love in return, and the spell will be broken. If not, he must remain a beast.

In the end, the wonderful characters, beautiful animation, incredible original score and unusually smart scripting come together to create a great film, by any standard. Quite possibly, the greatest animated movie ever created, and I've no doubt that if you give it a watch, you too will fall under its enchantment.

10. Antz ( 1998)

10. Antz ( 1998)

***An Animated Feature Film For All***

"See the world from a whole new perspective."

Antz is a funny movie with a nice emotional touch it. Not only its amusing, but quite hilarious at some points too. I was surprised by the realistic movement of the characters. The overall graphics look very good and are stunning at some moments. There are a lot stuffs that you don't know about Antz and this movie will reveal all those surprising aspects.

9. Over The Hedge (2006)

9. Over The Hedge (2006)

***Hilarious, Witty And Over The Hedge***

"Taking over the neighborhood, one snack at a time"

The animation is quite excellent and the voices of stars like Allison Janney, Bruce Willis, Thomas Haden Church, Wanda Sykes, Garry Shandling, and Steve Carrell only enhances the film. They play the roles of chipmunk, skunk, squirrel, a bear, and humans in the film. I have to say that the humans were deliciously fun to watch. There is a lot of adventure in the film and you Wouldn't be human if you didn't want to see the animals win this time. It's a wild ride!

8. Bee Movie (2007)

8. Bee Movie (2007)

"Born To Bee Wild"

"Honey Just Got Funny"

Sharp, funny animated feature about a bemused young bee and recent College graduate who learns that he's destined to work a routine colony job for the rest of his life. Although his natural instinct is to beeware of humans, his life takes a turn for the better when he meets a saintly florist who not only bee friends him, but helps him quickly file A lawsuit before humans can take all the credit for mass production of Honey!

7. Megamind (2010)

***Absolutely Amazing and Visual Feast To Eyes***

"Heroes aren't born... they're made."

"A superhero movie with a mind of its own."

This movie is recommended for everyone you will laugh and Will Farrell will draw smiles on the audience, if you get the chance to see it in 3D then go for it since the action scenes are powerful and breathtaking.  Its real fun till it lasts..

6. Chicken Run (2000)

6. Chicken Run (2000)

***Animation At Its Very Best - Sheer Delight To Watch**

"This Ain't No Chick Flick!"

"Escape Or Die Frying"

"A Chicken Will Rise"

An outstanding movie  with more meaningful substances and sheer delight to watch. "Chicken Run" is the first feature length work done by Lord and Park in Claymation.  I loved the every meticulous detail and idea they had used.  For instance, the way the mud on the ground was after it had rained to the gray in Mrs. Tweedy's hair made it look real.  Even the sound effects made it seem life like.  The way Mrs. Tweedy walked in her rubber boots and the way the doors slammed shut on the hen houses.  This is a very delightful and brilliant made movie.

Top Ten Best Fascinating Pixar Animated Movies

We know Pixar as one of the most popular and biggest CGI-Animation Production house around, which has given some of the finest and fascinating animated feature films. Pixar uses a metaphor that is so strong that it drives the audience to love animated characters with all of their hearts. Pixar's ability to integrate so many emotions - fear, love, action, and comedy, among others - with each having so much vigor in its own right, that the movie becomes a roller coaster of animation and adventure, wound together with the constant movement of setting and storytelling.

Not only is the film irresistibly funny it is also has a clever story And unlike many movies of today you can watch this one over and over. The voices are done by a host of popular names that we all know and Love. Some of the most popular being Tom Hanks as Woody, Tim Allen as Buzz Light year, Don Rickles as Mr. Potato Head, and John Ratzenberger As Hamm. Jim Varney even lends his hilarious voice as Slinky the Dog. The story is about a boy (Andy) that gets a new toy (Buzz Lightyear) For his birthday. Andy's previous favorite toy (Woody) feels forgotten. After a series of misadventures the two find themselves away from the Home and must learn to work together to find their way back.

9. A Bug's Life (1998)

10. Toy Story (1995)

***A Bug's Life - Teach You A Lot***

"An Epic Of Miniature Proportions"

"Princess Atta: You see Hopper, Nature has a certain order. The ants pick the food, the ants keep the food, and the grasshoppers leave!"

I personally liked "A Bug's Life" over "Car 1 and 2" movies. I loved every bit of  the cinematography and storytelling  I recommend this movie because it allows the mind to sit down and relax and without tension watch the movie in peace. The ending is no surprise as far as the typical ending goes, but this is definitely a delight worth seeing on the big screen. Must Watch...

8. Toy Story 2 (1999)

8. Toy Story 2 (1999)

 ***Funny, Exciting and Thoughtful Movie***

"The toys are back in town."

"Slinky Dog: I may not be a smart dog, but I know what roadkill is."

Toy Story 2 is better than the first Toy Story. It is hard to find a sequel that is better than the original movie these days. The voices to each character sounds quite natural and mesmerizing. I rarely see good values and good clean fun displayed in many movies anymore but this movie displays that and so much more. I say to any person, whether you have a family or not, to go out to your local video store today and have a double bill with the original Toy Story and Toy Story 2.

7. Monster, Inc. (2001)

7. Monster, Inc. (2001)

***A Superb, A Classy and A Most Inventive Animated Movie**

"Monsters, Inc. : We Scare Because We Care"

"We Think They Are Scary, But Really We Scare Them!"

"Since the very first bedtime, all around the world, children have known that once their mothers and fathers tuck them in, and shut off the light, that there are MONSTERS hiding in their closets, waiting to emerge! What they don't know is: it's nothing personal. It's just their job."

The story is simple and told beautifully combining strong voice talent such as Billy Crystal and John Goodman with great visual imagery and animation. Only Pixar can tell a story about monsters from our closets in the way that they can and make the characters to endearing that we care for them.

6. WALL - E (2008)

6. WALL - E (2008)

***The Best Romantic Sci-fi Animated Movie Ever***

"After 700 years of doing what he was built for - he'll discover what he's meant for."

"Captain: Computer, define 'dancing.'"

The only thing that WALL - E stands out from the rest of the Pixar movies is its brilliantly sculptured screenplay and a sure visual feast to the eyes and ears. I personally don't like it as much as Ratatouille, but that's just me. Wall E is cute, romantic, and beautiful. It's also sweet. Pixar animation beats Dreamworks in every way imaginable. Most Dreamworks films are excellent and ravishing.. Not to be missed...
