Universal Hired Anthony Peckham For The Fifth Installment Of "The Bourne Identity"


Universal Pictures is moving ahead with a fifth installment of "The Bourne Identity" franchise. Deadline reports that the studio has set Anthony Peckham (whose recent scripting credits include "Sherlock Holmes" and "Invictus" ) to script a film that is shaped to continue the plot of Aaron Cross, the character that Jeremy Renner played in the 2012 Tony Gilroy-directed "Bourne Legacy.

Cross was among a group of agents who took part in Operation Outcome. Medically enhanced to be smarter and physically superior, the agents were targeted for termination.
