"The Expendables 3" Expands With Inclusion Of Harrison Ford


It appears there's a little surprise addition to the cast of Lionsgate's "The Expendables 3." Sylvester Stallone has hit Twitter again to reveal that Harrison Ford has joined the ensemble actioner. He also reports that Bruce Willis will not be reprising his role as Mr. Church.

"WILLIS OUT," an obviously excited Stallone writes, "HARRISON FORD IN !!!! GREAT NEWS !!!!! Been waiting years for this!!!!"

Ford will join a cast that currently includes, in addition to Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Kellan Lutz, Ronda Rousey and Victor Ortiz. The film set to shoot soon in Los Angeles, rumored additional cast members have been said to include Jackie Chan, Wesley Snipes, Nicolas Cage and Milla Jovovich, although none have been, as of yet, confirmed.

Ford has a number of ucoming projects throughout the rest of the year. He stars in the Orson Scott Card adaptation Ender's Game on November 1 and then joins the returning cast of Adam McKay's Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, hitting theaters December 20 and Relativity's Paranoia, opening August 16.

The Expendables 3 will be directed by Patrick Hughes and will arrive in theaters on August 15, 2014.
