The Dark Knight Rises' Glen Powell Joins Expendables 3 Film

Newcomer Glen Powell has joined cast in a lead role in the action-packed sequel. The 24-year-old will play a military combat veteran who is also an expert hacker and drone pilot. Even though his credits include a short appearance in Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight Rises" (he played "Trader #1").  

Powell will be joining an immense cast that currently includes Slyvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Harrison Ford, Jason Statham, Kellan Lutz, Ronda Rousey and Victor Ortiz. The film set to shoot soon in Los Angeles, rumored additional cast members have been said to include Jackie Chan, Wesley Snipes, Nicolas Cage and Milla Jovovich, although none have been, as of yet, confirmed.

Lionsgate has slated the third film in the action franchise, Stallone returns as Barney Ross, who leads the group of mercenaries as it undertakes seemingly impossible missions. The Expendables 3 will be directed by Patrick Hughes and will arrive in theaters on August 15, 2014.
