First Look At Trailer And Images For Mark Wahlberg's War Film "Lone Survivor"
After the failure that was Battleship, Peter Berg returns with the war drama "Lone Survivor." Starring Mark Wahlberg (who gave one of his best performances in the war drama Three Kings), Taylor Kitsch, Ben Foster, Emile Hirsch and Eric Bana, the film based on the NY Times bestseller tells the story of four Navy SEALs on an ill-fated covert mission to neutralize a high-level Taliban operative who are ambushed by enemy forces in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan.
The first trailer has just now revealed today, features Alexander Ludwig ("The Hunger Games," "Grown Ups 2"), as Petty Officer Second Class Shane Patton, delivering a somber "Ballad of the Frogmen" over scenes of he and his fellow SEALs training for the mission to come. In short order, a four-man team heads out to hunt down infamous Taliban leader Ahmad Shah along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border. But things don't go as planned.
"Lone Survivor," directed by Peter Berg, hits theaters in New York City and Los Angeles on December 27, 2013, and the rest of the U.S. on January 10, 2014.
