Elysium's New Long Extended Trailer Featuring Alice Braga and Sharlto Copley

Neill Blomkamp's much anticipated ELYSIUM is only a week away, but the marketing blitz has one more big play to make with this new, extended trailer that reveals more Alice Braga and Sharlto Copley, as well as a peek at the munitions and "superpowers" that Matt Damon uses in the film. Much of the footage you'll have seen in previous spots, but there are some more moments here with Alice Braga, whose young child Matt Damon's lead is looking to help, and Sharlto Copley as the baddie tasked with stopping our hero at all costs. 

 Elysium stars Matt Damon, Jodie Foster, Sharlto Copley, Wagner Moura, Alice Braga, and William Fitchner. It opens in theaters on August 9th, 2013.

Official Synopsis:

"In the year 2159, two classes of people exist: the very wealthy who live on a pristine man-made space station called Elysium, and the rest, who live in an overpopulated, ruined Earth. Secretary Rhodes, a hard line government official, will stop at nothing to enforce anti-immigration laws and preserve the luxurious lifestyle of the citizens of Elysium. That doesn’t stop the people of Earth from trying to get in, by any means they can. When unlucky Max is backed into a corner, he agrees to take on a daunting mission that if successful will not only save his life, but could bring equality to these polarized worlds."
