10 Absolutely Insane Psychic Horror Films Based On Telekinesis

What is Telekinesis (TK) or Psychokinesis (PK)? Do you remember the famous Jean Grey from X - Men films? She has the telepathic and telekinetic powers. Telekinesis, the production of motion in a body, apparently without the use of material force, a power long claimed by mediums and magicians. There have been a lot of films on the subject-ranging from horror to sci-fi to something in between. 10. Queen Of The Damned (2002)

The Queen of the Damned, awakened by the sound of Lestat's music, wakes to a new world. As one who has read the first five vampire chronicles, I must admit some disappointment. No with Aaliyah, who was wonderful as Akasha, or Stewart Townsden. But with whoever brought the book to the screen. The facts were wrong (Lestat's maker, for one) while some were altogether missing (the story of the twins).

There are two people that possess psychic powers. One is Gillian Bellaver and the other is Robin Sandza. Robin gets kidnapped and his father Peter goes looking for him. But all those experiments done by a certain Childress have made Robin a completely different man. The Fury (1978) is a Brian De Palma film. It's based on the novel by John Farris.

8. The Dreamescape (1984)

The story concerns a project that allows telepaths to enter into the dreams of others. Inside these dreams they are able to help/harm the individuals from/with their nightmares. Dennis Quaid plays a young Alex Gardner who possesses the gift of telepathy. Under the study of Max Von Sydow and Kate Capshaw (forgot how attractive she was), Alex enters the patient's dreams and tries to help them. But with this ability, there are others that would use it as a weapon. When the President (Eddie Albert) begins having haunting nightmares, can someone help him escape his dreams before it's too late?

7. The Exorcist III (1990)

"The Exorcist III" film follows the friendship between Father Dyer and Detective Kinderman. Meanwhile a serial killer is running around Georgetown gruesomely murdering the city's residents. Kinderman is called into duty and is puzzled by the brutal slayings. That is until he follows the clues and they lead him to a very unlikely place. Kinderman's faith in man is tested as he continues on throughout this bizarre and seemingly never ending case. The exorcist III combines true character development with crime drama, horror, and suspense, utterly perfect movie making.

6. Prince Of Darkness (1987)

"Prince Of Darkness" tells the story of a group of scientists sent to a church which is holding a cylinder of green fluid embodying the son of Satan, slowly the group is taken over one by one, as the survivors struggle to survive, trapped in the church by zombie like vagrants (featuring Alice Cooper), as the evil offspring tries to bring his daddy into the living world. Oh yeah, there's also something about a warning from the future. Sounds ridiculous I know but with Carpenter's deft handling this is a taut and genuinely atmospheric thriller with the same claustrophobic intensity he created in "The Thing."
