Selena Gomez's stardom to fame all began when she stared in the hit series 'Wizards of Waverly Place'. Seeing her performances in 'Spring Breakers (2013)' film which with all the naughty, violence and drug use is as far from Disney as you can get. Selena Gomez has a lap dancing, a bong smoking video, underage drinking videos, and a bunch of alleged self shot photos. Truly she has taken herself to the next level.

9. Elisabeth Shue - Leaving Las Vegas (1995)

Elisabeth Shue started her film career with roles in films like ‘The Karate Kid’ and successful ‘Back to The Future trilogy,’ but when she grew up she needed to get away from the girl next door stereotype, which led her to star opposite Nicolas Cage in ‘Leaving Las Vegas.’ We’d never seen Shue like this, and she was definitely offered — and took — much more interesting parts after.

8. Jessica Biel - semi-nude for 'Gear magazine (2000)

Jessica Biel's career started off when she stared in the hit series 'The 7TH Heaven'. She struggled early on with her good girl persona, and in 2000, she posed semi-nude for Gear magazine at the age of 17. It worked, and the producers were able to write her out of the show, though she reappeared in a handful of episodes later.

7. Nathalie Portman - Closer (2004)

Nathalie Portman went down the straight and narrow, choosing interesting, but sweet roles in films like ‘The Professional,’ ‘Garden State,’ and her part as Queen Amadala in the ‘Star Wars’ prequels. In 2004, when she starred in the Mike Nichols drama ‘Closer’ that Portman got more provocative and interesting in her choices. Since then,  Portman’s roles have been more challenging and engaging, more recently, ‘Black Swan.’

6. Anne Hathaway - Havoc (2005)

Anne Hathaway's career started off when she stared in the hit Disney movie 'The Princess Diaries' that led to her more Disney movie 'Ella Enchanted'. Hathaway broke out of that mold real quick with a lead role in ‘Havoc,’ a dark drama about crazy teens who get involved in drugs, drinking, violence, and a gang bang, for good measure. And ever since then, Hathaway has got some series of great roles in movies like ‘The Devil Wears Prada,’ ‘The Dark Knight Rises,’ and she won a best supporting actress Oscar this year for her small role in ‘Les Miserables.’
