"Lone Survivor" is an upcoming war drama film directed by Peter Berg and starring Mark Wahlberg, Ben Foster and Eric Bana. Director Peter Berg stated the following concerning the tone of the film: 'Bin Laden’s death has cleared the way for this, a movie that will be an unapologetically patriotic film that honors and pays homage to an incredible group of badass guys who do this.

"Based on the recollections of Afghanistan war hero Marcus Luttrell (Mark Wahlberg), Lone Survivor chronicles a Navy SEAL mission in Afghanistan, in which Luttrell tragically lost the members of his team, Michael Murphy (Taylor Kitsch), Matt Axelson (Ben Foster) and Danny Dietz (Emile Hirsch)."
