Ten Most High-Octane Secret Agent Films

A Secret Agent is a person confidentially employed in spying for the government and stealing information which is considered secret or confidential. Isn't a great job?. You get everything you want from latest well equipped cars to plant palm print guns and there is always an attractive girl waiting for you in every country you visit. Tell me isn't that a great job?. I find secret agent or spy thriller movies are very smart and intelligent with the fast paced screenplay, imaginative gadgets and entering plans. This is a list of those well known secret agents and their top ten best movies so far.

10.  Maxwell Smart - Get Smart (2008)

***A Smart, Hilarious Ans  Entertaining Movie For All***

"Saving The World....With Difficulty"

"Max: Give it up Sigfried you're surrounded by 130 black-ops snipers.

Sigfried: I don't believe you.

Max: Well then, would you believe 2 dozen Delta Force agents?

Sigfried: No

Max: How about Chuck Norris with BB gun?"

"Get smart" is the story of undercover agency. Steve Carell plays Maxwell Smart the guy who works at the agency and wants became an agent but his boss won't promote him because he's too good at the job he's already does. But here, on the horizon, rises another mission and the boss changes his mind. Here Max is introduced to the agent 99 who's pro and she doesn't want him to be her partner because he's inexperienced. And here it all really starts. Steve Carell is amazing as usual.

This movie is filled to the brim with action, and comedy! I highly recommend GET SMART!!!

9. Roger Ferries - Body Of Lies (2008)

***An Engaging And Brilliantly Shoot Movie***

"Trust no one. Deceive everyone."

Body of Lies is actually a superb character study of two preening, bumbling CIA (presumably) agents trying to save the world in the Middle East. Roger Ferris (Di Caprio) is the agent on the ground, and Ed Hoffman (Crowe) is his remote-control boss in Washington. Their collective M.O. is to overreact and improvise at every turn, aided and abetted by their deep attachment to high-tech gadgetry and fundamental disregard for human lives. Their ally and foil, the Jordanian head of intelligence (Mark Strong), prefers more patient methods informed by a less skin-deep understanding of the people(s) involved. An intelligently shot and fast-paced screenplay engages you all the way. All in All "Body Of lies" is one big entertainer for all.

8. Evelyn Salt - Salt (2010)

***An Amazing Angelina Jolie Movie***

"Salt Must Die"

"Evelyn Salt: What is your name?
Vassily Orlov: My name is Vassily Orlov. Today, a Russian agent will travel to New York city to kill the President. This agent is KA-12.
Evelyn Salt: The KA program is a myth.
Vassily Orlov: Don't you want to know the name?
Evelyn Salt: You're good. You can tell the rest of your story to one of my colleagues.
Vassily Orlov: Salt.
Evelyn Salt: Yes?
Vassily Orlov: The name of the agent is Evelyn Salt.
Evelyn Salt: My name is Evelyn Salt.
Vassily Orlov: Then you are a Russian spy. "

Angelina Jolie plays Evelyn Salt, a C.I.A spy. Her life is turned upside down when a former Cold War warrior, Vassily Orlov (played by Daniel Olbrychski) comes into her workplace seeking to defect in return for passing on information useful to the C.I.A. Orlov asserts that Salt is a 'sleeper agent'...someone working for the Russians and who will do their bidding...which will involve dire consequences for America.

Salt does her cause great harm by running away, but not before letting her C.I.A. peers know that she is being set up. Orlov had asserted that their sleeper agent - Salt - was to assassinate the Russian President when he attended the funeral of the American Vice-President in America. The question becomes "Is Salt going to try and prevent the assassination of the Russian president or carry it out like Orlov says she will?".

I don't know if there's a plan for a sequel, but the ending of the movie certainly sets us up for a potential sequel. I'd watch it. This was a truly enjoyable, exciting and unpredictable movie.

7. Roy Miller - Knight And Day (2010)

***Knight And Day Is Fantastic All The Way***

"Roy Miller: I've been trained to dismantle a bomb in the dark with nothing but a safety pin and a junior mint. I think I can change your clothes without looking. ...I'm not saying I did that..."

" Roy Miller: I warned you.

June Havens: When?

Roy Miller. When I said sometimes things happen for a reason.

June Havens: That's not a warning. That's like a needle point expression or a bumper sticker. Next time say 'Don't get on this plane or you'll f**king die.' "

Roy Miller (Tom Cruise) is a former agent who is protecting the inventor of a battery that will help solve the world's energy problems. The FBI believes he has gone rogue. June (Diaz) is caught in the middle and is not sure who or what to believe. There is a lot to admire about Knight and day. The thing that mainly makes it work is Tom Cruise. Cruise's presence is really nicely timed here. Some of us believe that he is crazy. He may be a little crazy, but after seeing films like Jerry Maguire, Magnolia(his greatest acting job),and Tropic thunder, we can tell that he can be funny, and that he's a good actor. Diaz doesn't even have to try. She is goofy and lovable always. No matter what happens. She may play a role that it seems she plays a lot, but in some people's eyes, Cruise plays himself. The actors don't try, but they are delightful. The charm that they deliver is the main specialty of the film. Both actors are very talented, and funny, and lovable.

This was a very action packed, comedy. If you love action you will love Knight and Day.

6. Agent K & Agent J - Men In Black Series (1997, 2002, 2012)

***One Of The Best Sci-fi Comedies Ever Made***

"More secretive than the C.I.A. - More powerful than the F.B.I. - And they're looking for a few good men - They are the Men in Black"

"Protecting the earth from the scum of the universe."

Will Smith (as Agent J) and Tommy Lee Jones (as Agent K) are two secret agents working for a secret agency without ties to any government, whose goal is to maintain Earth as a "neutral zone" for aliens seeking refuge. Will Smith remains to be the best actor who gives you positive energy. He's funny, charming and so natural when it's comes to acting. With every movie the MIB franchise  getting bigger, exciting and best in the business but not so much for Tommy Lee Jones. The MIB III could be his last movie in MIB franchise. He has done a great job as Agent K. We might see new Agent K in MIB IV in  the near future.

This franchise has a lot of great things about it, it is hysterical, adventurous, and filled with action-packed sequences. You really need to see this, action filled, head cracking, hysterical movies!

5. Harry Tasker - True Lies (1994)

 ***An Extremely Entertaining Action Movie***

" When he said I do, he never said what he did."

"Helen Tasker: Did you ever kill someone?

Harry Tasker: Yes, but they were all bad!"

Arnold Schwarzenegger plays a secret agent named Harry Tasker who is working for "The Omega Sector", also called "The Last Line of Defense" that fights against terrorism. But, to make it interesting, he hides his job from his thrill-seeking wife Helen (Jamie Lee Curtis in her best performance since "Halloween") and his daughter Dana, while fooling them into thinking he's a computer salesman. And Harry sets out to stop a terrorist from an Arabic country named Aziz (Art Malik in an excellent performance that will literally make you fear him and yet, he amuses you at the same time) from bombing America.

This is definitely Arnold's best comedy and with the above average action, it makes this movie Arnies best overall movie. Heaps of good explosions, shooting and hand to hand combat and hilarious comedy from all cast members. Art Malik and his men were hilarious especially when they were trying to be serious. Tom Arnold is perfect for his role, hilarious without even trying. But the funniest of all would have to be Bill Paxton especially while he is in the car with Arnie describing Jamie Lee Curtis to him and role playing a secret agent. Truely belly aching laughter! Tia Carrera and Jamie Lee Curtis were absolutely gorgeous.

4. Bryan Mills - Taken Series (2008, 2012)

***A Brilliant And Surprisingly Good Action Entertainer***

"They have taken his daughter. He will hunt them. He will find them. He will kill them."

"Bryan: I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you."

In a world of James Bonds, Jason Bournes, and Frank Martins, it's hard for a little random ex-spy named Brian Mills to get some love. On the surface, his film seems a little formulaic, and he seems a little...well...old. However, once we get into the Mills's story, and see How infinitely badass the wonderful Liam Neeson plays him, you'll probably be saying something along the lines of "James who?". 'Taken', which follows Mills as he pursues those responsible for kidnapping his daughter, is a heart pounding thriller with a stupendous display of badassery from Liam Neeson. It may have a plot that's sort of unbelievable, but it's one of the best action thrillers in years.

I highly recommend this action entertainer to those who really wants to get blown away with real hard hitting action.

3. Ethan Hunt - Mission Impossible Series (1996-2011)

***A Smart, Intelligent And Awesome Franchise***

"No Plan. No Back Up. No Choice"

"Good morning, Mr. Hunt. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, involves the recovery of a stolen item Chimera. You may select any two team members but the zhird team member must be NYah Nordoof- Hall. She is a civilian and a highly capable professional thief. You have 48 hours to recruit Miss Nordoof- Hall and meet me in Seville to receive your assignment. As always, should you or any member of your IM Force be caught or killed, the Secretary will disavow all knowledge of your actions. And Mr.Hunt next time you go on holiday let us know where. This message will self- destruct in five seconds."

"IMF Secretary: "An hour ago, a bomb blew up the Kremlin. The President has initiated 'Ghost Protocol' - the entire IMF has been disavowed. Now I've been ordered to take you to Washington where they will hang the The Kremlin is bombing on you and your team - unless you were to escape after assaulting Brandt and me. But if anyone of your team is caught, they will be branded terrorists out to incite global nuclear war."

Ethan Hunt: "So what happens now?"

IMF Secretary: "Your mission, should you choose to accept it..."

"Tom Cruise" as Ethan Hunt is a senior field operations agent for an elite, top-secret espionage and covert operations agency that handles dangerous and highly sensitive international missions that have been deemed "impossible." "Tom Cruise" has done four movies in the Mission Impossible franchise so far and his recent release was Ghost Protocol which broke all his previous records at box office and also well received by MI fans.

He's highly skilled and diversified agent, among his many talents is the remarkable ability to blend in and infiltrate enemy installations. He is also an excellent marksman and a quick-witted "McGyver-type" agent. Ethan excels in using IMF's key pieces of technology, the peacemaker, showing greater control over his mind and facial muscles required to Make the artificial faces lawsuit.

Tom Cruise's career has been down almost every road it seems, and yet the best road he has ever gone down is the action picture road, and his most successful has been the Mission: Impossible franchise.

2. James Bond - James Bond Film Series (1953 - 2012)

***One Of The Best Fictional Character Ever***

"The Name Is Bond, James Bond"

"Bond: “Now the whole world will know that you died scratching my balls."

"Tiger Tanaka: “Rule number two; in Japan, men come first, women come second.”

Bond: “I just might retire here.”

"007 Agent" perhaps the most popular fictional character in the world. There has been six actors who played famous "007 Agent" role so far. Out of them I liked Sean Connery so much that all Bonds since have paled in comparison and I stopped seeing the movies when Roger Moore was Bond. Just too stupid to sit through. But Daniel Craig IS Bond not only because he's the Bond that Flemming wrote, but because he brings this gritty, physical toughness that's so sexy and compelling. I loved the fighting, his blood-drenched shirts, his sweating and constant movement.

The franchise had gotten tired and needed an Infusion of new blood and I commend the filmmakers on all of them choices. The titles are beautiful, the music contemporary, the women smart. M was more human and not just an initial with one scene. The dated gadgets of Q were gone and the scene where Bond gets poisoned and Almost dies when the defibrillator disconnects were one of the most exciting I've ever seen. The writers had an awesome task and they did a great job. They had to keep millions of fans happy, introduce a new Bond who wasn't well-received in the beginning and pull all future Bond films into the 21st century. I think they achieved what they set out to do.

1. Jason Bourne - The Bourne Series (2002 - 2012)

***The Best Realistic Spy-Thriller Movie Series  Ever***

"Who Am I?"

"He was the perfect weapon until he became the target."

"Jason Bourne: Get some rest Pam, you look tired.
Noah Vosen: He's looking right at her."

Jason Bourne is not James Bond. The name bears a remarkable similarity, As does the world the super-agent inhabits, but the parallels end there. Bond investigates and spies for his government; he possesses Alluring charm, perfect confidence, detailed knowledge of his enemies, Premeditated plans, and an ability to murder anybody without warning. James Bond seeks violence; violence seeks Bourne. Bourne has no desire to take others' lives, but wherever he hides, the bloodshed finds him. When it does, he has no choice but to use his lethal skills.

The Bourne Trilogy probably the best spy-thriller trilogy i have seen. Furthermore, This trilogy has come together so nicely, that I believe it to be one of the greatest motion picture trilogies of our time. Though all three Films could not be any more different from the Ludlum novels, they still stand as a powerful landmark in cinematic achievement.

With its intense action set-pieces, brilliantly paced storyline, and An intelligent examination of the decisions made in the name of national Security, the Bourne series is one that accurately captures the Ambiguities of our age.
